When searching for a job, particularly if you’re looking for a telehealth or locum tenens opportunity, you often go through cycles of actively searching and just browsing. You aren’t always on the job hunt – and you should be able to let potential employers aware of when you are.
Your job search status is your way of saying to potential employers, “Hey, it’s ok to contact me now!”. Or if set to “just browsing”, you can let them know that you’re not quite ready to accept opportunities at this time. This way you can sit back and let the jobs come to you if you don’t have time to sift through postings.
We know how important being able to keep your status up to date is, so we recently updated a feature on Nomad to allow you to change your job search status whenever you need to.
Within Settings -> Profile Preferences, you can update your job search status and also choose whether or not you want to display this status on your profile. While we recommend having your status visible to send a message to potential employers, you also have the option to hide your status if you choose to do so.
