Welcome to our very first edition of Newmads!, a new blog series introducing the talented individuals that join Nomad Health each month. We had four very smart and capable individuals start in recent weeks, bolstering a number of teams around the company.
With no further ado, please meet our newest team members below!
Jeff Hopkins, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner (Technology)

Hometown: Corning, New York
Interesting Fact: “Not sure where this came from, but I have an odd fascination with the weather/earth related events. I’m a big fan of gnarly storms and the Ring of Fire. I have been in a hurricane, a flood, a tornado and an earthquake.”
Why Nomad? “Choosing Nomad was an easy decision for me. I work in the business of serving others and have been doing so for the past 6 years. I wanted to find a place where I could still serve others, but also serve myself by getting behind a mission driven organization that provides a net positive to society. Being part of an organization whose focus is to bring hospitals/providers and clinicians closer (and in turn, provide better care to patients) is a very compelling story to get behind and share in the market.”
Zainab Khan, Senior Product Manager (Multi-Clinician Team)

Hometown: Central New Jersey
Interesting Fact: “I can speed-read 700 words per minute!”
Why Nomad? “After 6 years of working in fin-tech, I wanted to build technology for and learn about a new industry that impacts our world. Nomad is poised to make a real difference in healthcare staffing processes that have been around for decades, and I’m excited to be a part of the pioneering team.”
Brooke Mutterer, Operations Associate (Nurse Team)

Hometown: Bergen County, New Jersey
Interesting Fact: “I am a Nutritionist and Certified Health Coach, and in my free time, I love to post on my health and wellness social media account.”
Why Nomad? “I was drawn to Nomad’s core message of improving the healthcare system, and efforts to support doctors and nurses on assignment who work hard each day to make the world a better place. I am continuously both inspired by the work the team does internally, and the compassion our healthcare staff provides out in the field.”
Francis Ramos, Senior Manager of Social Media and Community

Hometown: San Diego, California
Interesting Fact: “I play a ton of Minesweeper on the subway, and my fastest clear time on the Expert difficulty is just over 2 minutes.”
Why Nomad? “There are two primary things that drew me to Nomad. First was my natural inclination towards companies that are disrupting their industries in a positive way, which is exactly what Nomad does in the healthcare staffing industry. Second was Nomad’s mission and vision of modernizing the way clinicians find work. As the son of a nurse, this was a huge draw for me.”
